Wowza Media has launched a new version of its cloud-based streaming and video content management platform.
The news is less relevant for Russian users from a practical point of view (due to the fact that making payments has become difficult), but important for understanding the current trends in Internet video solutions industry as a whole.
Wowza Video is a new cloud platform that aims to provide users with the full set of components needed to create live streaming within a single service. This is a media server, and a video player, and a CDN network, and a CMS for managing video files, and a statistics / analytics portal for viewer activity. Like other Wowza products, the new service provides a comprehensive API for creating your own products and integrating with third-party systems.
